Portland Blythe Bridge

Portland Trent Vale is open to pupils between 8:40 and 2:15, Monday to Friday, with a total of 27 hours 55 minutes in school.

At Blythe Bridge our KS3 pupils work on a hybrid model, with movement between rooms and teachers limited to 3-4 lessons per week.  In KS4 pupils move between rooms and teachers for all subjects.

Typical School Day

8:40-9:20 – Form Time - includes breakfast, assemblies and reading

9:20-10:10 – Lesson – such as maths, english, science

10:10-10:30 – Break time 

10:30-10:50 - Form Time - includes SEMH intervention

10:50-11:40 – Lesson – such as maths, english, science

11:40-12:10 - Form Time - includes safeguarding curriculum, PSHE

12:10-12:40 – Lunch and break time

12:40-1:25 – Lesson – such as PE, Art, D&T

1:25-2:15 – Lesson – such as PE, Art, D&T
